The Falcon and The Winter Soldier dropped its second episode and it seems like we're gonna be talking about it every week same as Wandavison before this.
Marvel expansion into television has been a great start and one thing which has been great most of the time is the character development the fans are getting for characters like The Falcon, The Winter Soldier, before that Wanda and Vision.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier S01 E02 Discussion
1. Wyatt Russell as US Agent/ New Captain America
Recently, I stumbled upon an interview by Wyatt Russell saying that he'd love to be hated in the MCU and this was before the second episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier had come out. Now that I have watched the episode Russell was not kidding. The character embodies everything that Steve Rogers stood against. My reaction was the same as Bucky watching him on the television. As I have said before, this character will be a mock character which fans will hate and be irritated by only making way for a huge set up for Sam to wield the shield.
2. The Action Sequence
In my last discussion of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier S01 E01 I left out a part which I personally didn't find interesting, the action. Not to say it's not great but I feel like the story at hand is better than the theatrics. However in this episode, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier had the action Sequence which was teased a lot in the trailers, i.e the scene on the highway with trucks. Seeing Bucky and Sam work as a team and the minds behind the show working alongside to develop genuine ways a fight could work with everyone Featured in it; it is something that the movies have failed to give us. Maybe Antman did that.
3. James Barnes PTSD
I don't know whether it is correct to term it as that but it's been a journey seeing Bucky come to terms with his past. As I have mentioned in the last discussion, Bucky's life after the sleep is different than Steve because unlike Steve Bucky has a lot to prove and atone for. For Steve, there was nothing on his conscience where as Bucky has a lot of things to accept and address.
The Binge Flix Conclusion The Falcon and The Winter Soldier S01 E02
The store is definitely taking place and the best thing is that it feels like a Movie expanded into episodes.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is very much like the MCU and a far cry from what Wandavison did but it excels at telling a coherent story and sticking with what it does best.
Led by an awesome cast, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is available on Disney+.
